There is only one cheat for the game. After entering the code, you will have all ship pieces but one. That piece will be on the next level up.
Cheat: Press the START button to pause the game. Then press UP, A, B, and C all at the same time. Then press RIGHT and A at the same time. Then press DOWN and B at the same time. Then press LEFT and C at the same time. If you've entered the code correctly, you should here a chime. If you do here a chime, you may unpause the game to continue.
Hints:
There's a hidden island on level 1 in the bottom left-hand corner of the map. You'll have to get Icarus Wings, Rocket Skates, or an Inner tube in order to get there. Cruise down to that island. Fall through the hole in the island and you'll arrive at Level 0. There, you can get a lemonade and receive an extra life (once only), and jump into the Hot Tub too. Falling off of level 0 will bring you back to the highest level you've been to.
There's another hidden island on level 1 in the top right-hand corner of the map. Again, you'll need Icarus Wings, Rocket Skates, or an Inner tube in order to get there. Cruise down to that island. There will be several presents on that island. Hidden

( In a 2 player game ) In the lower levels split up but, in the higher levels stick together to help each other out.
Every tile on the map that is opened is worth a point. So take your time on the lower levels opening as many tiles as you can.
If you sneak up on Santa, he'll drop some presents for you. Sneak up on him while he's rummaging in his bag. Whenever he looks up, stop moving! As long as you don't sneeze or hiccup, you should be able to get close enough to get a few extra presents.
